A recent addition to the “FirefoxOS” that pushes even further to make the idea of an actual FirefoxOS feasible. This incredibly useful tool is like having a pad of souped up sticky notes in the back pocket of your browser. According to the website, “Zotero is an easy-to-use yet powerful research tool that helps you gather, organize, and analyze sources (citations, full texts, web pages, images, and other objects), and lets you share the results of your research in a variety of ways.” I could not describe it any better. Zotero is truly an easy tool to use and incredibly functional.
Zotero is essentially an extremely powerful note taking tool. You can take notes from web pages which include links, and even files. The notes are also organized in a hierarchy with collections being at the top and individual documents at the end. With Zotero, you can not only take notes, but you can make links to files, links to web pages, documents, and you can keep track of apps, TV Broadcasts. You can also create email, and even a thesis. On top of all of that, you can add an attachment of your choice to any one of those. As you can see, Zotero is a very unique idea, a multi-tasker if you will. I highly recomend adding Zotero to your compendium of Firefox extentions to increase your productivity.
