The ThinkQuest Competition, which is designed to engage students in thought and to encourage critical thinking, is open for 2012.
Participants have to combine their technological know-how, critical thinking and communication skills to contest and to win from among many participants globally.
1. ThinkQuest Projects (Open only to schools that are member of ThinkQuest)
There are three categories of competitions with ThinkQuest :

Students will have to submit a website developed in teams, after reading the appropriate INSTRUCTIONS and REGISTERING on the website. Age classifications for the competition are 19 and under, 16 and under, 12 and under.
2. Digital Media
Participating Students will have to produce an online journal/blog, a stand-alone website, photo essay, animation, public service announcement, video or some combination of these items. It is important to READ THE INSTRUCTIONS before applying, and then to REGISTER appropriately on the website. The age divisions for this competition are as follows: 19 and under, 16 and under, 12 and under.
3. Application Development
Developing an interactive application or game is the task in this competition, the age divisions for which are 18-22, 17 and under. Again, READ INSTRUCTIONS carefully on the website to be able to REGISTER properly for the competition.
PRIZES :-
1st and 2nd Place team members receive a laptop computer, a trip to ThinkQuest Live.
3rd place team members win a laptop computer.
Ten schools/ organizations registering most number of participants receive US $5,000 for educational purposes.
All teams participating receive Certificate of Participation.
Teams among the top 10% eligible to receive Certificates of Distinction. Students aged 18 and over from such teams stand eligible to apply for internship.
